ADIDAS TOPS

Each year, Adidas chooses specific events to give special warmup tops. This year, the tops represent pride, unity, and e-sports. They celebrate these events while promoting Adidas and your club.

For the pride top, we made the intentional choice to collaborate with a local Philadelphia queer artist to help promote the design. She created a vibrant painting while wearing the top, and this artwork was later auctioned off, with all proceeds being generously donated back to a nearby LGBTQ youth center. The primary aim of the photoshoot was to capture her in the creative environment of her studio, while also highlighting the impactful work she has completed throughout the city that celebrates and uplifts LGBTQ advocates.

The Unity top is designed to proudly represent all the countries that are part of the MLS. Keeping this inclusive spirit in mind, I wanted to specifically highlight the diverse countries represented within the Philadelphia Union. Drawing inspiration from the Kiera Walsh signing photos from Chelsea, my goal was to create a unique backdrop composed of the flags from each country represented on the team. This approach celebrates the multicultural nature of the squad in a visually meaningful way.

The E-Sports top celebrated classic retro EAFC games, earning the name “Pixels to Pitch.” I aimed to recreate the nostalgic 90s basement vibe where you’d come home from school and spend hours playing video games with your friends, all while keeping the spirit and excitement of soccer alive. By using thrifted furniture and setting the scene against a field house backdrop, I was able to blend these two atmospheres. The result is a cozy, smaller-scale hangout space that perfectly captures the essence of both gaming and the love for the sport.
